Yoga off the Mat

There is plenty of advice I could think of for living a fulfilling life, but I’d rather offer you sustainable practices that will help you discover your own truth…

Daily Practice:

  • Intention

  • Make a prayer position with your hands in front of your heart center (optional)ask yourself What would you like to gain? What would you like to let go of?If you no answers arise naturally, be open to whatever comes to mind throughout your day. You may discover your intention when it’s least expected.

  • GratitudeMake a list of 10 things you are grateful for today. List the mundane and the extraordinary.

  • MeditationOr call it whatever you want, but sit with yourself in silence for as long as you can, as often as you can, and observe your thoughts. Listen closely, for the stressful thoughts speak loud and thoughts of wisdom whisper softly.Cultivate a meditative mindset in any situation, and especially in stressful situations. Close your eyes for one moment, breathe in, breathe out.

… You will not gain the benefits of these practices by simply reading about them, you must do your own work. These daily practices are simple to start, but take dedication to keep up with. Forgive yourself if you fall off track.

Practice and all is coming.
